Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (Limited Edition)
About This Machine
Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, a Limited Edition pinball machine from Jersey Jack Pinball manufactured in May 2019, is a true gem for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Designed by Pat Lawlor, this game showcases his signature flair for whimsy and attention to detail, and stands out as a significant addition to pinball history thanks to its unique theme and extensive feature set. This edition was advertised with a defined maximum production run of 5,000 units.
Gameplay is an immersive experience, with four flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, and 36 mini-inserts (dubbed "light rods" in the manual, and used here for the first time on any pinball machine) that light up throughout play. The playfield boasts a wide array of targets, magnets, two vertical up-kickers, a spinning target, and a shaker motor. A standout feature is the digital camera in the backbox, which captures player images and displays them on the backglass display in place of a traditional translite.
Visually, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory Limited Edition is a feast for the eyes, with sparkle blue cabinet armor, legs, and wireforms, plus Invisiglass over the playfield. Lawlor's use of bright colors and playful art design is characteristic of his style, making this machine a standout in any collection. As one of the last games Jersey Jack Pinball manufactured at its original New Jersey facility before relocating to Illinois in 2020, it holds a notable place in the company's history.
