Netflix Stranger Things (Pro)
About This Machine
The Netflix Stranger Things (Pro) pinball machine, designed by Brian Eddy with art by Bob Stevlic, was manufactured by Stern Pinball and released in December 2019. As a solid-state electronic (SS) machine built on Stern's SPIKE 2 system, it represents Stern's take on the popular Netflix horror/sci-fi series.
Gameplay-wise, this machine boasts an array of features. Three slingshots interact with two pop bumpers to create dynamic action, while ten standup targets and a 4-bank of memory drop targets offer varied challenges. A spinning target demands precision, a lowering center ramp opens access to the Demogorgon bash toy, and multiball rounds out the feature set.
The design incorporates horror and science-fiction elements inspired by the Netflix series' Demogorgon antagonist. A translite is used instead of a traditional glass backglass, and the cabinet features powder-coated black wrinkle-finish side armor, hinges, front lockdown molding, and legs, along with decal cabinet artwork and stereo sound. The MSRP at release was $6,099.
