About This Machine

The Elvira Signature Edition pinball machine, designed by Dennis Nordman and manufactured by Stern Pinball in October 2019, is the third pinball machine to feature the cult horror hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, following Bally's Elvira and the Party Monsters (1989) and Scared Stiff (1996). With its rich history and unique design elements, this Signature Edition -- limited to a planned 50 units -- pays homage to the queen of B-movies while offering an immersive experience for players.

Key gameplay features include a variety of interactive elements such as flippers, pop bumpers, slingshots, standup targets, and vertical up-kickers. The game also boasts a motorized diverter, gate for orbit shots, left-side ball kicker, and a motorized elevating ramp entrance, adding depth and challenge to gameplay. One of the standout features is the "Make your own dang B-movie trailer" mode, which creates a unique experience for each player at the end of every game. This innovative mechanic leverages the game's advanced electronics to craft a personalized cinematic tribute.

The Elvira Signature Edition's design and art are equally striking, boasting high-gloss, sparkle-finish red powder-coated side armor with a distinctive drip effect bottom edge. A mirrored backglass replaces traditional translite artwork, while other unique touches include art blades, shaker motor, serialized number plate, and the apron signed by the design team, plus a trading card signed by Elvira and a swatch of fabric from Elvira's red velvet sofa. The game's theme is meticulously realized through attention to detail, from the Crypt door that rotates to reveal targets to the "lit windows" on the house tracking players' progress throughout gameplay.
