Elvira's House of Horrors (Limited Edition)
About This Machine
Elvira, the 2019 Stern Pinball machine, marks a significant milestone in the evolution of licensed themes in pinball. Designed by Dennis Nordman, this title is the latest iteration of the iconic character created by Cassandra Peterson. The game's release coincides with Stern's continued dominance in the industry, solidifying their position as a premier manufacturer. As a Limited Edition version, Elvira boasts an impressive array of unique features that set it apart from its counterparts.
Gameplay-wise, Elvira offers an immersive experience that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of horror and supernatural themes. Key features include flippers, pop bumpers, slingshots, standup targets, vertical up-kickers, drop targets, spinning targets, a motorized diverter, and a motorized gate for orbit shots. The inclusion of multiball action adds an extra layer of complexity, requiring players to strategize and adapt their gameplay. One of the most innovative aspects is the "Make your own dang B-movie trailer" feature, which generates a unique trailer at the end of each game, providing an entertaining twist on the traditional pinball experience.
The design and art of Elvira are equally impressive, with high gloss red powder-coated side armor and a mirrored backglass replacing the traditional translite. The Crypt door is a standout feature, rotating to present target bashes or access into the crypt. A serialized number plate, signed apron, and Certificate of Authenticity add an extra layer of exclusivity to this Limited Edition version. With its unique blend of gameplay mechanics, innovative features, and captivating design, Elvira is sure to delight pinball enthusiasts and collectors alike.
