Super Score

Super Score is a rare home-model pinball machine from the French manufacturer France Jouets, built around a skateboarding theme -- an unusual subject for pinball. As a non-commercial, home-market machine, it was intended for domestic play rather than arcade or bar placement.

Its exact release date is unknown; it was offered for sale as new in an undated French toy catalog whose later pages referenced exchanges made between November 1979 and January 1980, leading collectors to estimate the game dates to around 1978-79. Gameplay is straightforward: a single-player, three-ball game with two flippers and electronic sound.

Little else is documented about Super Score's specific rules or artwork, but its skateboarding theme and status as a home model from a relatively obscure French toy manufacturer make it a curious find for collectors exploring pinball's international and home-market fringes.
