About This Machine

A World of Clowns was a concept for a Williams Electronics Games pinball machine that was never produced. Williams commissioned backglass artwork from Python Anghelo, built around a clowns, music, and singing theme, but the concept never developed into an actual production game.

According to collector James Loflin, the surviving artwork represents the first concept stage, and Williams paid Anghelo for the work even though it went no further. A blueprint of the backglass may still exist, but no playfield, cabinet, or gameplay details for A World of Clowns are documented.

As an unrealized Williams concept, A World of Clowns exists today only as artwork -- an intriguing glimpse of an idea that never made it to the factory floor, rather than a machine collectors can find in the wild.
