About This Machine

The Muppets Haunted House Adventure was a pinball concept designed by Roger Sharpe with artwork by Paul Faris, intended for Bromley, Inc. of Northbrook, Illinois. The game never reached production. Sharpe has described it as his interpretation of an old Mills Official-style game, with a plunger sending the ball onto the playfield for a chance to land in different scoring holes rather than a conventional flipper layout.

As designed, the machine was a three-ball, single-player game featuring 15 gobble holes, with tickets awarded at the operator's option, allowing it to be run either as a novelty ticket redemption game or scored for points. Sharpe recalled that he was unable to acquire one of the prototypes before they were scrapped, so no example of the game is known to survive.

Because it was never manufactured, little else is documented about its intended artwork or its specific connection, if any, to the Muppets beyond its title. It remains a footnote in pinball history: a Roger Sharpe concept that never made it past the prototype stage.
