About This Machine

The Oktoberfest pinball machine, designed by Joe Balcer and manufactured by American Pinball Inc., is a significant addition to the modern pinball landscape. Released in 2019, this Solid State Electronic game embodies the festive spirit of Germany's famous celebration, incorporating Amusement Park/Circus/Carnival themes with a playful nod to drinking, fair, and festival culture.

One of the standout features of Oktoberfest is its intricate playfield design, boasting an impressive array of targets, ramps, and magnets that create a dynamic gameplay experience. The machine boasts 22 stand-up targets, three pop bumpers, three slingshots, four magnets (including stop magnets controlled by an extra flipper button), and a unique vertical up-kicker that feeds a long habitrail. A lowered left ramp elevates the ball into a winding 'corkscrew' habitrail that delivers it back to the right flipper. Two three-ball lock mechanisms, a captive ball, and a cellar hole add further opportunities for players to showcase their skills.

The Oktoberfest's design and art are notable aspects that set it apart from other games. A backglass (rather than a translite) is used and is recessed into the backbox, and the backbox is topped with a themed topper. Inside the cabinet, art decals add an extra touch of whimsy to the overall aesthetic. With its emphasis on high-scoring potential and entertaining gameplay, Oktoberfest is sure to appeal to fans of amusement-park and carnival themes.
