About This Machine

Black Knight Sword of Rage (Pro) is Stern Pinball's 2019 return to the Black Knight series, designed by Steve Ritchie -- who also designed the original 1980 Black Knight -- with artwork by Kevin O'Connor (backglass, playfield, and cabinet), Dave Link, Harrison Drake, Danai Kittivathana, and George Gomez.

The Pro plays with two flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, two vertical up-kickers, two spinning targets, a Magna-Save magnet, and 3-ball multiball. Its signature mechanical feature is the center ramp entrance, guarded by a bi-directional motorized ball gate shaped like a knight's flail; a nearby gate is shaped like the Black Knight's fighting shield. A button on the lockdown bar factors into gameplay, and a molded Black Knight upper torso serves as the game's toy.

The cabinet uses decal artwork with a plastic molded bottom arch and powder-coated black wrinkle finish side armor, hinges, lockdown bar, and legs. Running on Stern's SPIKE 2 system, the Pro brings Ritchie's medieval theme back with fast, physical shot-making built around its flail and shield gates.
