The Munsters (Premium)
About This Machine
The Munsters (Premium) is Stern Pinball's 2019 tribute to the classic 1964-1966 sitcom, designed by John Borg with artwork by Christopher Franchi. It's one of a long line of licensed-theme pinball machines Stern and its predecessors have released over the decades, bringing the eerie charm of the Munster family to the playfield.
Gameplay on the Premium is built around four flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, two captive balls, five standup targets, two bar targets, a stop magnet, a spinning target, a scoop, and dual left inlanes, along with multiball. The left ramp has a moving section that reveals a bash toy and carries the ball behind the playfield's back panel. A standout addition on the Premium is a recessed mini-playfield with its own dedicated flipper buttons, two captive balls, a VUK, and a digital display.
Toys include a Drag-U-La model car, a Herman bash toy in the upper playfield, a Spot bash toy under the left ramp, and laboratory equipment in the recessed mini-playfield. The cabinet uses decal artwork with a translite in place of a backglass, and powder-coated black wrinkle finish legs, side armor, hinges, and lockdown bar round out the package.
