About This Machine

Deadpool (Pro) is Stern Pinball's 2018 title built around the irreverent Marvel antihero, designed by George Gomez with artwork by Jeremy Packer, Greg Freres, and Steven Martin. It arrived alongside the character's continued film success, joining Stern's line of Marvel-licensed machines.

The Pro plays with two flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, ten standup targets, two spinning targets, a 3-bank drop target, and an electric gate. A standout mechanical feature is the wireform habitrail shaped like a Japanese samurai sword that feeds the ball to the right flipper return lane; a post raises during play to turn the sword's hollow hilt into a ball lock. The 3-bank drop targets can be reset by hitting a recessed target after they're down, briefly trapping the ball. Other highlights include a vertical up-kicker with scoop, an auto-launch shooter, a color LCD display, and the game's signature B-O-O-M award system, where spelling the letters in the lower inlanes and outlanes lights the lockdown-bar button for an escalating shot award.

Visually, the Pro uses a translite in place of a backglass and black legs, side armor, hinges, and lockdown molding, with artwork capturing Deadpool's irreverent style. On the Pro model, the Chimichanga truck toy in the upper playfield is rendered as flat plastic pieces rather than a molded figure.

Notable Features:
Flippers (2), Pop bumpers (3), Slingshots (2), Standup targets (10), Spinning targets (2), 3-bank drop targets (1), Electric gate (1). Playfield back panel illumination. Vertical up-kicker with scoop. One wireform habitrail feeds the ball to the right flipper return lane via an aerial trough designed to resemble a Japanese samurai sword. A post raises during game play to make the hollow hilt of this sword into a ball-locking device. The 3-bank drop targets when down allow ball to hit recessed target to reset these drop targets, trapping ball in recessed area. Ball shooter has auto-launch. Color LCD. Completing the letters B-O-O-M in the lower playfield inlanes and outlanes (can use lane-change) lights the button to be yellow on front lockdown bar. Pressing button when yellow awards the highest lit playfield shot. Multiple completions without pressing the lockdown button will "stack" this award. Four stacked completions light the button to be red. Pressing the button when red awards all lit shots on the playfield. Black legs, side armor, hinges, and front lockdown molding. A translite is used instead of a backglass.
