The Star Trek (Vengeance Premium Vault Edition) is a 2018 reissue by Stern Pinball of the company's 2013 'Star Trek (Vengeance Premium),' unchanged from the original production run apart from a Final Voyage commemorative plaque added to the backbox. No additional promotional photos or flyers were produced for this new run, and it carried an MSRP of $7,499.
Designed by Steve Ritchie, the game channels the Star Trek license with artwork by Greg Freres, Kevin O'Connor, John Youssi, and Steven Martin. Running on Stern's S.A.M. board system, it offers the same challenging ruleset and immersive science-fiction theme that made the original Vengeance Premium popular with players and collectors.
As a Vault Edition, this release let Stern bring back a well-regarded design for a new round of buyers rather than introducing new hardware or rules. For fans of the Star Trek license and of Ritchie's original layout, it remains a solid, faithful package rather than a fresh, groundbreaking release.
