Crystal Palace
About This Machine
Crystal Palace was never actually manufactured - it exists only as backglass artwork by Dave Christensen, apparently intended for a solid-state Bally machine with a burlesque theme, though the Bally name does not appear on the art itself and it's unknown whether the game was ever formally considered for production.
Because no machine was built, no gameplay, rules, or feature details survive to describe. Based on the four-score-display and credit/match window layout typical of Bally backglasses of the era, the art is estimated to date from sometime between 1976 and 1986. The burlesque theme itself was unusual for pinball of any era, making the surviving artwork a curiosity in its own right.
As an unproduced concept, Crystal Palace is of interest chiefly to collectors and historians of pinball backglass art and unused Bally designs, rather than as a machine that was ever built or played.
