Palisades Park
About This Machine
Palisades Park was never actually manufactured - it survives only as backglass artwork by Dave Christensen bearing the Bally name, for a proposed solid-state machine with an amusement park theme. As far as is known the game was never produced, and it's unclear whether it was ever seriously considered by Bally. The name references Palisades Park, a real amusement park in New Jersey that operated from 1898 to 1971, evoking nostalgia for outdoor entertainment venues of that era.
Because no machine was built, no rules or gameplay features exist to describe. Based on the backglass window layout, the art is estimated to date from sometime between 1976 and 1986.
As an unproduced concept, Palisades Park is of interest mainly to collectors and historians of pinball backglass art and unused Bally designs, rather than as a playable machine.
