Sea Nymph
About This Machine
Sea Nymph is a 2017 re-theme of Williams' 1950 electro-mechanical machine 'Georgia' - not a newly designed machine, but an existing vintage EM cabinet given a new fantasy/mythology-themed backglass and playfield treatment. Only a single confirmed unit exists. The reworked backglass incorporates pencil artwork originally created for a Bally game that was never put into production, and credits 'T & M Sales Co.,' a name representing the first initials of the two people responsible for the re-theme rather than an actual period manufacturer.
As a product of its 1950 Williams 'Georgia' roots, Sea Nymph retains classic early-1950s electro-mechanical gameplay: two flippers, two pop bumpers, and six kick-out holes. Its tilt mechanism is true to the era - a tilt keeps the ball in play as a penalty, and is only reset when the ball passes through a roll-under wire at the bottom of the playfield below the flippers.
Rather than being an anomaly of modern EM production, Sea Nymph is better understood as a one-of-a-kind restoration and re-theming project: a genuine vintage machine reimagined with new artwork and a new identity, making it a unique curiosity for collectors interested in pinball customization and preservation history.
