About This Machine

The Guardians of the Galaxy Limited Edition pinball machine, designed by John Borg and manufactured by Stern Pinball, shipped in December 2017 as the top-tier version of Stern's Guardians of the Galaxy line, limited to 600 confirmed units. Each Limited Edition game came with a serialized number plate, a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Gary Stern, and a playfield autographed by designer John Borg—distinguishing it as a premium collector's piece.

The playfield features two flippers, three RGB LED pop bumpers, seven standup targets, three diverter magnets, two spinning targets, a drop target, a bar target, and a scoop, along with a motorized-jaw Groot bash toy that locks balls for multiball, molded Groot arms, a recoiling Rocket figurine, and a motorized Orb mechanism revealing an illuminated Infinity Stone. Players will encounter speech and stereo sound effects, plus a shaker motor for added physical feedback, and a button on the lockdown bar for extra interactivity.

The LE's design sets it apart from the Pro and Premium models: gold powder-coated hinges, lockdown bar, and side armor; a mirrored backglass instead of a translite; and playfield side art blades. RGB LEDs illuminate the inserts, with general illumination in red, white, or blue and an RGB LED on the front lockdown bar. At an MSRP of $8,999, it was the most expensive of the three Guardians of the Galaxy models Stern released in 2017.
