About This Machine

Barnyard, released by Multimorphic, Inc. on July 28, 2017, is a software-only "mini-game" download for the company's modular P3 Pinball Platform. Like other mini-games in the P3 lineup, it is designed to work with whatever upper-playfield module is already installed on a P3 machine, supplying its own rules and displaying dynamic, farm-themed imagery on the lower-playfield LCD in concert with gameplay.

Conceived and coded by Gerry Stellenberg, with cabinet and in-game artwork by Rory Cernuda, Barnyard brings a lighthearted Farm Animals theme to the P3 system. As a download-only title, it does not include its own magnetic cabinet art panels, though a game-specific translite was available for an extra cost.

Specific details about Barnyard's ruleset and scoring are not documented, but as one of the P3 platform's early software kits, it reflects Multimorphic's model of expanding a single hardware machine's game library through software alone.
