About This Machine

Cannon Lagoon, designed by Gerry Stellenberg and Scott Gullicks for Multimorphic, Inc., is a conversion kit for the company's P3 Pinball Platform, released July 28, 2017 alongside the platform's debut. It marks a significant departure from traditional pinball gameplay with its timed-play mechanic: rather than being based on ball count, each level is timed (operator-adjustable), and completing a level before the timer expires — regardless of balls drained — advances the player to the next level and resets the clock.

The unique timed-play feature is what sets Cannon Lagoon apart, offering a fresh challenge built around beating the clock rather than maximizing scoring runs. The Adventure - Pirates theme is realized through cabinet artwork by Chris Ancarrow and Jeremy Wilson and in-game LCD artwork by Cameron Petri, giving the game a swashbuckling identity distinct from the P3 platform's other available kits.

As one of the initial kits released for Multimorphic's modular P3 machine, Cannon Lagoon represents an early example of the company's approach: a single hardware platform that can be reconfigured with different upper-playfield modules and software to become an entirely different game. The kit also supports operator-enabled ticket dispensing, positioning it as a redemption-capable title as well.

Technical Details

Theme:
Adventure - Pirates
Notable Features:
Timed play. Games are not based on how many balls are drained. Instead, each level is timed (operator-adjustable for each level). If the player completes a level before the timer expires, regardless of how many balls are drained in the process, the player is moved to the next level and the timer resets. Once the timer expires, the game is over.
