Lexy Lightspeed Escape From Earth
About This Machine
Lexy Lightspeed Escape From Earth, designed by Dennis Nordman and TJ Weaver for Multimorphic, Inc., is the debut title on the company's modular P3 Pinball Platform, released July 28, 2017. It represents a new approach to pinball design, combining a traditional lower playfield with flippers and slingshots with a swappable upper playfield module and a large in-playfield LCD screen for dynamic, game-specific imagery.
The game's standout feature is its flexibility: it can serve from 1 to 9 players, and the lower two-thirds of the playing surface is an LCD screen displaying imagery synchronized with gameplay, while the upper third houses modular mechanical features specific to this title. RGB LED illumination in the backbox, playfield, and cabinet rounds out the machine's presentation.
Lexy Lightspeed's fantasy-science-fiction theme is brought to life through cabinet artwork by Scott Gullicks and in-game (LCD) artwork by Rory Cernuda. As the launch title for the P3 platform, which can host multiple interchangeable "kits" with unique rules and upper-playfield modules, Lexy Lightspeed Escape From Earth marked Multimorphic's first commercially available game on this modular system.
