Golden Arrow
About This Machine
Golden Arrow is an Add-A-Ball electro-mechanical pinball machine built as a copy of Gottlieb's 1977 "Golden Arrow." The backglass and playfield both display the name "Golden ARROW" in place of the Gottlieb logo, a telltale sign of these unlicensed "Gottlieb Made in Italy" copies.
Gameplay follows its Gottlieb original, featuring a Native American warriors theme. Players use two flippers and three pop bumpers, along with two slingshots, six standup targets, two spinning targets, and a Star rollover to rack up points on the playfield.
While the manufacturer of this Golden Arrow copy remains unknown, its existence is a reminder of the once-widespread practice of copying popular American pinball titles for other markets, and it remains an interesting find for collectors researching that history.
