About This Machine

Fair Fight is a solid-state electronic pinball machine produced by Procedimientos Electromagnéticos de Tanteo y Color (trade name Petaco, S.A.) of Madrid, Spain, a manufacturer active from 1962 to 1977. The company also released an export version of the game as Recel's 'Fair Fight' in 1978. Its exact production date is unknown.

The game runs on the Recel System III MPU, a custom board unique to Recel/Petaco based on the Rockwell PPS4 chipset — the same chip family used in early Gottlieb solid-state machines, though the Recel System III itself is not compatible with any other manufacturer's boards.

Fair Fight's Medieval Battle theme is expressed through gameplay featuring two flippers, two pop bumpers, two slingshots, two spinning targets, and two swivel targets. Little else is documented about the machine's designer or artwork, leaving much of its background a matter of speculation for collectors and historians.
