Full Throttle (Limited Edition)
About This Machine
Full Throttle, a Limited Edition pinball machine from Heighway Pinball, Ltd., is a significant title in the world of pinball. Released in 2016, it was one of the earliest widebody productions from this Welsh manufacturer, designed by Dave Sanders. As a sports-themed game centered around motorcycle racing, Full Throttle embodies the thrill and energy of high-speed competition, complete with a motorized race car driver figurine that tracks the ball and a motorcycle toy that performs wheelies.
Gameplay features that set Full Throttle apart include its 6-ball multiball mode, achieved through a sophisticated inductor sensor-switch system replacing traditional wire rollovers. The addition of a Newton ball and a captive ball add extra layers of challenge, while the shaker motor and Wi-Fi compatibility create a dynamic, modern experience for players. The machine's layout is equally impressive, boasting a wide array of standup targets, spinning disks, and slingshots that require precise timing and strategy to master.
The Full Throttle's cabinet features LED-illuminated side art panels alongside a translite backglass. Its playfield is lit with RGB LEDs, creating a vibrant atmosphere during gameplay. This Limited Edition version, offered in either a gloss red or gloss black cabinet trim, was capped at a planned run of 250 units, each with a serialized number plate and a playfield and/or translite signed by designer Dave Sanders — an exclusive touch for this rare pinball release.
