De Luxe Shooting Gallery

The De Luxe Shooting Gallery is a rare and intriguing electro-mechanical gun game from Midway Manufacturing Company, one of the most iconic names in coin-op history. It is not a pinball machine, but rather a single-player shooting gallery game in which the player fires a mechanical pistol at targets on the playfield. Its exact year of production is unconfirmed, though it is believed to date from around 1961.

What defines the De Luxe Shooting Gallery is its pistol shooter, a feature that became a hallmark of shooting gallery games of the era. This mechanical device allows the player to fire at targets, adding an element of excitement and challenge to the gameplay experience. The machine's electro-mechanical design features intricate mechanisms and relays, showcasing the craftsmanship typical of early coin-operated amusement games.

Little else is documented about the De Luxe Shooting Gallery beyond its basic specifications. Its rarity and unique design make it a fascinating find for collectors and enthusiasts of classic electro-mechanical amusement games, and it is closely related to Midway's 1960 'Shooting Gallery'.
