About This Machine

The Ghostbusters (Limited Edition), designed by John Trudeau and released by Stern Pinball in 2016, is the top-tier version of Stern's Ghostbusters lineup, limited to 500 confirmed units. It pays tribute to the 1984 film, with a "Ghostbusters and Slimer" backglass depicting the movie's four principal characters.

Like the Premium, the LE features two electromagnets beneath the lower playfield simulating slingshot action and an interactive holograph projector, along with two flippers, three pop bumpers, nine standup targets, six captive balls, two drop targets, two kick-out holes, a vertical up-kicker, a spinning target, a Newton ball, and an upper playfield with a post. Its toys include a color-changing Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, a rotating motorized Slimer, a 3D firehouse, a molded library, a molded storage containment facility, and a city skyline. Original game-specific speech was recorded by Ernie Hudson.

What sets the LE apart is its "slime green" powder-coated trim, a shaker motor, a serialized number plate, a playfield signed by designer John Trudeau, and a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Gary Stern. At $8,795 MSRP, it was the most expensive of the three Ghostbusters models Stern released in 2016.
