About This Machine

Aloha is a one-of-a-kind electro-mechanical pinball machine dated 2015, with only a single confirmed unit in existence. Rather than an all-new design, Aloha is a re-themed conversion of Williams' 1948 'Rainbow' — the backbox artwork is an imagined color rendition of pencil art created for a Williams game that was never actually produced.

One of the most notable aspects of Aloha is its use of reversed-impulse flippers: pressing either flipper button pulses both flippers simultaneously, a mechanic quite different from traditional independent flipper control. The passive bumper and pair of kick-out holes round out a simple, classic EM layout inherited from its 1948 source game.

Because this is a re-themed one-off rather than a factory-produced model with documented designer or artist credits, little else is known about who created its updated Hawaiian-themed art. Its extreme rarity as a single confirmed unit, combined with its unusual shared-pulse flipper mechanism, make Aloha a genuine curiosity for collectors and EM pinball historians.
