Sea Wolf
About This Machine
This early Sea Wolf design was never produced. It survives only as a Williams Manufacturing Company playfield drawing (Model 194), dated August 1, 1957 and revised September 5, 1957, signed with designer Harry Williams' initials, and identified in his own handwriting as a two-player game.
The drawing calls for two flippers, a disappearing bumper, two gobble holes, and a kicker, along with two sets of three score reels capable of displaying up to 1,999 points per player. Despite sharing the disappearing-bumper concept with Williams' later, actually-produced 1959 'Sea Wolf' (Model 209), pinball historian Duncan Brown, who examined both drawings, notes the two designs are otherwise unrelated.
Because Model 194 never left the drawing board, no physical example exists, and its full design intent is known only through this surviving playfield sketch.
