About This Machine

Feria is an electro-mechanical (EM) pinball machine from Salor, S.A. of Barcelona, Spain, manufactured in 1964. It shares its backglass and playfield with a machine of the same name from Automaticos, though with a different cabinet; this Salor version has its backglass scores silkscreened in red, while the Automaticos version uses black.

Gameplay on Feria is built around two flippers and two pop bumpers, with bulb scoring typical of EM machines of the era. The cabinet and rails are made of Formica, and the backbox is rectangular with a frame that flares out on each side around the backglass, design cues shared with other Salor releases like 'El Valiente.'

The Feria's theme draws on circus/carnival and fair imagery alongside feminine figures, and metal cigarette holders on each side rail are a distinctive period detail. Little information is available about the machine's designer, but its shared playfield with the Automaticos 'Feria' offers an interesting case study in how playfield designs were shared between Spanish manufacturers in the 1960s.
