Miss Universo (10 Ladies)
About This Machine
Miss Universo (10 Ladies) is an electro-mechanical pinball machine from Industria (Electromecánica) de Recreativos S.A. (INDER), a Spanish manufacturer active from 1970 to 1993. It is one of three related 'Miss Universo' titles INDER produced—alongside 3 Ladies and 5 Ladies versions—though the exact sequence and release years (reported as either 1970 or 1972) remain unconfirmed.
The gameplay features two flippers, two pop bumpers, two slingshots, three standup targets, and a single horseshoe lane. Scoring is displayed on the backglass, with numbered targets and rollovers on the playfield lighting corresponding numbers as players progress toward the maximum score of 9,999 points. The backglass also includes a 'Last Ball in Play' light labeled 'Ultima Bola.'
The backglass artwork features ten beauty contestants, while the lower playfield depicts a pageant runway scene with photographers. The wedge-head backbox and plastic playfield surface are consistent with INDER's other 'Miss Universo' releases. As one of three versions built around the same beauty-pageant theme, it offers a window into how INDER iterated on the concept across its early-1970s lineup.
