Winning Shot

Winning Shot is a rare and intriguing pinball machine from Universal Space Amusement Co., Ltd. (UNIS) of Hong Kong, China. Its exact year of production is unconfirmed, though an unconfirmed date of 2004 has been suggested, making it a comparatively modern Solid State Electronic (SS) redemption game rather than an early example of the technology.

The machine boasts an array of features typical of a soccer-themed redemption title. Players engage with two flippers, four stand-up targets, and a spinning bumper, all contributing to a soccer-themed experience. The addition of a spinning target adds another layer of challenge and strategy, while the gobble hole provides a conclusion to each game. Notably, Winning Shot allows operators to award tickets or prizes for winning scores, as well as dispense mercy prizes for non-winning players - a feature aimed at keeping casual arcade patrons engaged.

While little is known about the machine's designer, Winning Shot's blend of sports-themed gameplay and redemption features make it an interesting addition to any collection focused on Asian-market redemption pinball. Its rarity adds to its appeal for enthusiasts researching lesser-documented manufacturers.
