About This Machine

Rock Star, like its counterpart Hot Rocker, is a concept sketch rather than a produced pinball machine. Created for Bally Manufacturing Corporation, the artwork was dated by artist John Youssi to the 1970s, and the four-player, Music - Singing themed electro-mechanical design was never put into production.

Because Rock Star never reached manufacture, no confirmed information exists about its playfield features, scoring, or mechanical components beyond what appears in Youssi's original sketch.

As an unproduced concept, Rock Star holds interest mainly for those researching Bally's internal design process and unrealized 1970s pinball concepts, rather than as a machine collectors could ever hope to own.
