Metallica (Premium Monsters)

Metallica (Premium Monsters) is a distinctive edition within Stern Pinball's 2013 Metallica lineup, also known informally as the "Dirty Donny Premium" after artist Donny Gillies, whose artwork it features. This solid-state electronic machine was designed by John Borg for Stern Pinball.

Gameplay features include two flippers and three pop bumpers, along with two slingshots and a single bar target that requires precision to hit and activates various modes. As with the other Metallica models, the game's audio, lighting, and animations are built around the band's music and imagery, with Brendon Small providing the voices for "Sparky" and "The Snake."

The artwork on Metallica (Premium Monsters), by Donny Gillies, gives this edition its distinct visual identity within the Metallica pinball family. It carried an MSRP of $6,995 when new, the same as the Premium Road Case edition. For fans of the band and collectors alike, this variant stands out as the artist-driven edition of Stern's Metallica series.
