Black Beauty Game

The Black Beauty Game from Rich Toys (Rich Manufacturing Company of Morrison, Illinois) is a rare and enigmatic example of early pinball history. As a pure mechanical (PM) bagatelle, it provides a glimpse into the game's mechanics before electricity entered the picture. While its exact date of manufacture remains unknown, this machine's existence underscores Rich Toys' place among early manufacturers.

From a gameplay perspective, the Black Beauty Game is notable for its simplicity: it is a pin table where balls are guided by gravity through a field of pins and pockets, with no flippers or electrical components involved. A single bell provides an iconic sound effect that adds to the machine's nostalgic appeal. What makes this game unique is its hinged legs, which allow the table to be folded for easier storage and transport.

While the Black Beauty Game's theme remains unconfirmed, its minimalistic design is characteristic of the era's bagatelles. As a rare example of pure mechanical pinball design, the Black Beauty Game is sure to captivate collectors and enthusiasts who value its historical significance and mechanical simplicity.
