Sea Nymph

Sea Nymph is a backglass concept created for Bally Manufacturing Corporation around 1947, with artwork by Lester Hilbrich. As far as is known, this design was never produced as an actual game, unless it later appeared under a different name not yet matched to this artwork.

The sea nymph figure depicted on the backglass has been found in other artwork as well - the oldest known example appears on the cover of an undated pamphlet from Nu-Film Products Company, a company incorporated in September 1946. It is not known whether the image was original artwork or adapted from an earlier source.

Because Sea Nymph was never manufactured, no gameplay details survive - only its Fantasy/Mythology-themed artwork remains. It stands as one of several unproduced concepts from Bally's design process in the late 1940s, offering insight into themes the company considered but ultimately did not release.
