Penalty One Ball

Penalty One Ball stands as a rare gem in the world of pinball history, hailing from SIRMO Games S.A. in Verviers, Belgium, though its exact production year remains a mystery (a surviving German technical manual bears a cover date of January 1998). This Solid State Electronic (SS) machine is a soccer-themed bingo/one-ball game, catering to fans of Futbol.

The gameplay experience on Penalty One Ball is centered around six cards, which are likely used to trigger various modes and objectives. As a one-ball game, players must make the most of a single shot, adding an element of strategy and pressure not found in multi-ball bingo machines. A related SIRMO title, 'Penalty Une Bille,' shares this soccer theme.

The design and artwork of Penalty One Ball are reflective of its European origins, though specific details are not documented. Unfortunately, there is no additional information available on this machine's history, leaving much to be discovered about its significance within the pinball community. Despite the unknowns, Penalty One Ball remains an intriguing addition to any serious collector's or enthusiast's collection, offering a glimpse into the lesser-explored world of international pinball design.
