Golf Play
About This Machine
Golf Play is an electro-mechanical pinball machine from Talleres del Llobregat S.A. (trading as Automaticos) of Barcelona, Spain, built around a golf theme. Its exact date of production is not documented.
Gameplay features two flippers and three pop bumpers, with scoring handled by a bulb scoring system. A practical service feature seen on other Automaticos machines of the era is present here too: the playfield glass and its metal frame are hinged, allowing the whole assembly to be raised for maintenance.
The cabinet is finished in Formica with stainless steel trim and cigarette holders along the sides, and the wedge-head backbox has beveled side edges. Little further documentation survives about the machine's designer or release details, but its golf theme and construction details make it a distinctive example of Automaticos' EM output.
