AC/DC (Let There Be Rock Limited Edition)
About This Machine
The AC/DC (Let There Be Rock Limited Edition) pinball machine was released by Stern Pinball in March 2012, part of Stern's AC/DC licensed music theme lineup conceived by Steve Ritchie. Produced in a limited run of approximately 200 units, this edition's backglass displays only the band's name, without the words 'Let There Be Rock.'
Gameplay offers four flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, and a full complement of targets, including 5-bank and 3-bank drop targets and a spinning target. Standout features include a rotating ball cannon, a shaker motor, a lower mini-playfield, a swinging bell with mounted pinball, a TNT detonator with a moving handle, and a moving band-members diorama alongside an AC/DC Rock N Roll Train toy. A fire button on the lockdown bar both launches the ball and lets players choose from twelve AC/DC songs, with flashing 'Tube of Fire' LEDs adding to the effect.
Measuring 55 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 75 1/2 inches high, and weighing 250 pounds, the Let There Be Rock Limited Edition carried an MSRP of $8,499 when new -- reflecting its status as a premium, limited-production variant within Stern's AC/DC pinball line.
