Transformers™ Autobot Crimson Limited Edition
About This Machine
The Transformers Autobot Crimson Limited Edition, designed by George Gomez and released in 2011 by Stern Pinball, is one of three variants Stern produced from its Transformers license that year, alongside the Decepticon Violet Limited Edition and the two-faction "Combo" edition. Featuring the Autobot warring faction exclusively, this solid-state machine runs on Stern's S.A.M. board system, with dots animation by Mark Galvez and Tom Kyzivat, mechanics by John Rotharmel, sound and music by David Thiel, and software by Lonnie D. Ropp and Waison Cheng.
The cabinet is advertised at 55 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 75 1/2 inches high, weighing 250 pounds, with artwork built around the game's Autobot theme and crimson color scheme.
Production was confirmed at just 125 units, matching its Decepticon Violet counterpart, making the Autobot Crimson Limited Edition a scarce find for collectors. Games shipped to North America operate on 60Hz power only and are not compatible with 50Hz regions such as Europe and the UK. At release, it carried an MSRP of $6,999.
