Haunted Hotel
About This Machine
Haunted Hotel is a solid-state widebody pinball machine manufactured by LTD do Brasil Diversőes Eletrônicas Ltda of Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil (active 1977-1984). It is a copy of Gottlieb's 1982 'Haunted House,' meaning this machine was produced no earlier than 1982, in the early-to-mid 1980s solid-state era rather than the 1970s.
Its most distinctive feature, carried over from the original Haunted House design, is a three-level playfield — a rarity in pinball design that adds significant vertical complexity to shot-making. Gameplay includes eight flippers, four pop bumpers, and both a 5-bank and a 4-bank drop target, supporting up to four players with an Adventure - Supernatural theme.
As with other LTD do Brasil titles, specific details about the company's production numbers, designers, and distribution are not well documented, but the machine represents an interesting example of Gottlieb's popular Haunted House design being reproduced for the Brazilian market.
