Enforcer

The Enforcer is not an actual released pinball machine but a striking piece of unused concept artwork created for Williams Electronics. Artist Constantino Mitchell created the artwork during a slow period, hoping to convince game designer Barry Oursler to attach a game to it -- envisioning a futuristic, James Bond-style theme. No machine was ever produced, but the art survives, credited within Williams' Solid State Electronic (SS) era catalog, in the Adventure-Fantasy theme, designed for a 4-player game.

The artwork's text reads: 'DATA: YEAR 2417: THE ENFORCER PROTECTS EARTH FROM THE DESTRUCTION THAT LURKS IN THE BLACK DIMENSION.' Mitchell has said he modeled the main character after Robert Redford and Tom Selleck, and that the character's pose was based on himself -- a detail he notes is true of most poses in his artwork.

Because no cabinet, playfield, or ruleset was ever built, the Enforcer exists purely as a 'what-if': a glimpse of a game concept from Williams' idea pipeline that never made it to production, valued today chiefly as an artifact of pinball art history rather than as a playable machine.
