Wild Time
About This Machine
Wild Time, a rare pinball machine from Secav of Orsay, France, is a solid-state electronic game with a Jungle - Animals - Wildlife theme. The year of production is unknown, but the machine is notable for a playfield where the ball shot into play crosses the field to reach the top, aided by left and right dual inlanes.
Gameplay features include two flippers, two pop bumpers, six standup targets, a 5-bank drop target, a spinning target, and a kick-out hole. Notably, the game has no slingshots, a departure from many contemporary designs.
Interestingly, certain art elements of Wild Time -- including a lion, elephants, and a coconut tree silhouette -- also appear on Gottlieb's 1972 'Jungle Life,' which was exported to Italy, suggesting a possible connection or shared source between the two games. Little else is documented about Wild Time's designer or history, making it an intriguing rarity for collectors.
