About This Machine

Royal Cards is a Gottlieb pinball design that was never actually produced. Designed by Jeff Brenner as an Add-A-Ball single-player game with a playing-card theme, it was assigned model number 364 as early as January 1973, originally under the working title "Twin Flush."

According to Brenner, Royal Cards was intended for U.S. distribution and used the same angled return-lane configuration as Gottlieb's export version for Italy, 1974's "Royal Pair." Despite reaching the design and engineering-card stage, Royal Cards was ultimately shelved and never went into manufacture.

Because no units were built, no playfield, cabinet art, or working example of Royal Cards exists today. It survives only as a documented but unrealized entry in Gottlieb's engineering records — a card-themed Add-A-Ball concept that never made it to arcades.
