About This Machine

The 1979 Sega Enterprises pinball machine "Adventure" is a two-player, widebody solid-state machine themed around sailing, boats, and water recreation, released in January 1979 from Sega's Tokyo pinball operation.

Gameplay features an unusually large complement of hardware for the era: four flippers, three pop bumpers, a 4-bank and a 3-bank of drop targets, five standup targets, five kick-out holes, and a spinning target. Like other Sega machines of the period, it includes the "Your Number" match feature.

Adventure's design and artwork are built around sailing and water recreation, fitting its widebody, feature-dense playfield. No designer has been documented for the machine. Surviving examples of Adventure are considered scarce among collectors today, though exact production numbers are not documented.
