Funtime Frankie

Funtime Frankie is a one-of-a-kind electro-mechanical pinball machine created as a custom re-theme of Bally's 1967 machine "The Wiggler." Only a single unit was ever made, built specifically for British comedian Frank Skinner. The four-player game features hand-painted artwork depicting show-business colleagues and guests who appeared on Skinner's television show, giving it a personal, celebratory theme built around comedy rather than a mass-market design.

Because it began life as "The Wiggler" before being customized, Funtime Frankie retains the electro-mechanical hardware and playfield mechanics of a late-1960s Bally machine (its "GameZipper Flippers" specialty) beneath its reworked artwork and theme. As a one-off tribute piece rather than a factory production run, it was never part of any standard pinball catalog and was never intended for commercial distribution.

Funtime Frankie's significance lies less in innovative engineering and more in its status as a bespoke, hand-customized tribute machine — a rare example of a classic EM pinball repurposed and repainted to honor a specific individual's career and the guests who appeared alongside him.
