Metallica

This 'Metallica' pinball machine is not a mass-produced title but a one-off re-themed custom build — a single unit created by converting Williams' 1989 'Earthshaker' into a music-themed machine honoring the band Metallica. It is a Solid State Electronic (SS) game for up to four players, carrying a Music theme centered on the band's identity.

The distinctive artwork was created by Donny Gillies, known professionally as 'Dirty Donny,' an illustrator recognized in pinball and hot-rod art circles. Because this is a custom re-theme built on Earthshaker's hardware, its underlying rules, ball flow, and playfield mechanics are inherited from the original Earthshaker, even though the cosmetic theme has been completely reimagined around Metallica.

As a one-of-a-kind custom creation rather than a factory-produced title, this Metallica machine holds a unique place in the hobby — valued by collectors interested in themed re-builds and custom artwork rather than as a standard production game.
