Lady Luck
About This Machine
Lady Luck, manufactured by Bally Wulff of Germany in 1986, is a solid-state pinball machine with a playing-cards/poker theme. It's a German-market version of Bally Midway's 1986 'Lady Luck,' produced under license from Bally Midway using a Bally MPU A084-91786-AH06 (6803) board. The game was designed by George Christian, with artwork by Greg Freres and software by Rehman Merchant.
Gameplay-wise, Lady Luck offers three flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, a five-bank of drop targets, four standup targets, a captive ball, and a spinning target — a well-rounded feature set typical of mid-1980s Bally-designed solid-state machines.
The playing-card and poker theme is carried through Freres' artwork, giving the game a vibrant card-room atmosphere. As a licensed German-built counterpart to an American Bally Midway release, Lady Luck offers an interesting look at how Bally's designs were localized for the European market in the mid-1980s.
