Wood's Queen

Wood, manufactured by Zaccaria of Bologna, Italy in 1976, is a two-player electro-mechanical pinball machine with a fantasy theme and artwork by Lorenzo Rimondini. It's related to one-player and four-player versions of the same game, both released the same year under the title 'Wood's Queen.'

Gameplay features include two flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, a six-bank of drop targets, and seven standup targets, offering a dynamic and challenging experience typical of Zaccaria's EM output during the company's 1974-1987 run as a pinball manufacturer.

The fantasy theme is brought to life through Rimondini's artwork, though specific details about the game's design process and original reception are not well documented. As one of several closely related Wood/Wood's Queen releases, it offers an interesting look at how manufacturers of the era tailored the same base game to different player counts.
