Pirates Gold

Pirates Gold is not a pinball machine, but a decorative aluminum-framed glass created by the Advertising Posters Company of Chicago, Illinois, with artwork by Lloyd Rognan. It was one of several such glasses the company produced as wall art for the pinball trade, and it never appeared on any actual pinball machine.

Its pirates/adventure theme depicts a swashbuckling scene typical of the decorative promotional artwork the company produced for manufacturers and operators in the pinball industry. A related flyer places this piece as part of a publicity and sales package mailed on February 6, 1978.

Today, Pirates Gold survives as a curiosity for collectors interested in pinball-adjacent ephemera -- a reminder that not everything documented alongside pinball machines was a machine itself.
