El Tigre

El Tigre is a 1977 single-player solid-state pinball machine with a circus theme. The manufacturer listed on the game is officially unknown to IPDB, though the lower corners of the backglass are marked 'Manufactured by El Tigre and Co.' The backglass artwork, measuring 53.5 by 56.5 cm, was created by artist Michele 'Mike' Martinelli.

El Tigre is a one-player solid-state version of Gottlieb's 1975 'Tiger,' reworked with a woman depicted on the backglass in place of the man shown on the original. It's an example of the 'Gottlieb Made In Italy' games — titles built using Gottlieb-derived designs for that market.

Beyond its backglass art and its relationship to the Gottlieb original, little further documentation survives about El Tigre's production team or run, leaving some mystery around exactly who built it and how many were made.
