Hot & Cold
About This Machine
Hot & Cold, manufactured by INDER (Industria Electromecánica de Recreativos S.A.) of Madrid, Spain, is a four-player pinball machine dated 1978 with a Sports/Snow Skiing theme. It followed INDER's original 1-player version of the same game from 1976.
Gameplay includes two flippers, three pop bumpers, a 4-bank drop target, three standup targets, a kick-out hole, a spinning target, a left-side kicker lane, and dual left/right inlanes, with scoring supported by a replay wheel (maximum 20) and a sound package of three chimes, a bell, and a knocker.
The machine's snow-skiing theme was a less common choice for the period, giving it a distinct identity among contemporary sports-themed games. Beyond its verified specifications, little further documentation of Hot & Cold's design or market history has surfaced, but it stands as a solid example of INDER's electro-mechanical output in the late 1970s.
