Space Duel

Space Duel is a Solid State Electronic, two-player pinball machine of unknown manufacturer and release year, documented as a converted game — the Pinball Collectors Resource lists several examples with matching solid blue cabinets (one located in Italy), and a similar example with an otherwise identical red cabinet has been seen in France. Artwork is credited to Tony Ramunni.

Gameplay centers on an Outer Space/Fantasy theme, with two flippers, three pop bumpers, and a spinning target providing the main scoring opportunities.

Because its origin as a conversion is confirmed but the original base machine has not been identified, Space Duel remains something of a puzzle for collectors — a reminder of how common it was for operators to rebrand and re-theme existing cabinets during the solid-state era.
